Just the Clarity!

$247

  • Comprehensive, developmental assessment by a reading specialist

  • Written results summary with follow up parent call

  • Simple next steps you can implement immediatly

… This is perfect if you want a professional check in without the pressure or a label.

The Problem is...

Most people either wait too long or they focus on the wrong things.

Reading issues will not fix themselves and knowing exactly what to focus on is how we get things back on track.

Thank you again, Shannon, for all this work. You've confirmed our suspicions but, more importantly, you've given us a workable and promising path forward. We can't wait to start working.

You'll know this is for YOU if...

  • You're dialed in as a mom and you are tired of the conflicting information.

  • You know that your child is really smart but reading isn't clicking.

  • Either you or your child's dad struggled to learn to read and you want to keep your child from feeling that!

  • Your child is struggling but you still don't understand why.

You've got Questions

I've got answers!

What skills are assessed?

I assess all domains of skilled reading including: word recognition, phonics, phonological skills, vocabulary, comprehension, executive function, and fluency.

How long is the assessment?

The assessment is typically 30-45 minutes, depending on the age/stage of your child.

How do I get results?

Following the assessment, I will compile the results and schedule a follow-up call with you to review my findings within the week.

I'm worried about my child feeling anxious.

This is completely understandable. Here's what I can tell you; I have worked with hundreds of children who are both neurotypical and neurodivergent and all of them leave with a smile on their face. This is intense on my end but feels low risk on your child's end. I follow strict acceleration and discontinue rules so that the assessment always stays in the appropriate zone and never bleeds into frustration.

Am I allowed to be on the call?

Of course. You are more than welcome to sit beside your child or within earshot. I just ask that you remain neutral and do not offer assistance. (Otherwise we won't get a true picture.)

What Other's Are Saying About

1:1 Reading Assessments

I had both of my boys tested and it was quick and fun for both boys! Shannon's report was very thorough and gave me specific action steps of what to work on. I honestly wish I had done this sooner.

Sarah K.

My son has been struggling for years and this is the first time I have actually understood why! I was able to take Shannon's report and build a really effective plan with my son's teacher and now we're all on the same page.

Molly P.

We tested both of our children. We knew one was struggling and Shannon pinpointed exactly why but Shannon also caught some potential issues with our daughter who gets great grades but has recently been struggling with comprehension.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Hey! I'm Shannon.

I've been teaching children to read for nearly 30 years. But 15 years ago, everything changed when my son was diagnosed with an inoperable skull base tumor.

Suddenly, I wasn't just a reading specialist. I was a mom trying to understand how the brain develops, heals, and learns.

That's when I stopped chasing programs and started following the brain.

What I discovered transformed everything. When we teach the brain the way it's designed to learn, reading becomes clearer, instruction becomes simpler, and children progress faster with less frustration and more confidence.

But I also realized something deeper: the most powerful influence on a child's Reading Brain isn't a program. It's a parent. And parents are drowning in noise...conflicting advice, trendy programs, and pressure to "get it right."

So, let's partner together and cut through the noise.
